A Forfeit of Dreams by KL Morgan ()
If you had a second chance, would you take it? If you had a choice, would you do the right thing? And if you had a dream... what would you give to make it come true?
"True," he laughed a little, "she was not the most sweet-tempered of girls. But instead of hating the cruel world around her, instead of drowning in doubt and self-loathing… She threw herself into her own private fantasy world, trusting in her dreams to save her. Yes, it was an escape. Yes, it made her selfish and self-absorbed. But she was scared – and she was only a child." His face was pensive. "It kept her from becoming a bitter old woman with no joy in the world." His gloved hands traced the pattern of the stones that made up the window’s ledge. "And does it not take some amount or courage, to think that life can be different? To believe in your dreams?"

A Necessary Deception by Scattered Logic (Fanfiction.Net Profile)
Sarah believed her defeat of the Goblin King was a dream. It was real, but it was also a lie.
“Why do you love me, Sarah?” “I just do,” she said. “I don’t know why. I can’t give you a specific reason.” He laughed softly. “Nor can I give you a specific reason why I love you. Perhaps that is simply the way of it. If we can list reasons, then perhaps it isn’t real.”

As Easy Mayst Thou Fall by kzal (FanFiction.Net Profile)
Sarah sees the Goblin King every time another man treats her badly, but she's convinced the Labyrinth was a dream, and he a figment of her imagination, until, eleven years after her first visit, she makes a wish that allows him back into her life. Can she force him to let her go, or will she find she has a reason to stay? Is love enough to build a life upon?
That Sarah you could have been, that innocent woman-child who could have come to me: she would have been beautiful. A perfect doll, an easy companion. I could have loved her. But you, my Sarah, you are not that girl. No: you are far, far more. Far greater, far deeper, far better, far stronger, far more wonderful than any of my imaginings. You are your own woman, and not my toy; your own woman, and yet still you love me. You chose to love me; that other girl would know no other way to be. I knew how it would be, to love the girl you could have been. I never imagined what it would mean to love the woman that you are. Do you understand, yet, my heart?

Dark Labyrinth by Helen Fayle (The Book of Taliesin)
Three years after the events of the film, Sarah finds herself once again drawn back into the world of the Labyrinth, when both it and its enigmatic ruler are threatened by a powerful foe...
He was sitting on the window ledge, looking out over the city. A strong evening breeze whipped his wild fair hair back from a face that held a look that was two parts boredom, one part contemplation. One booted leg rested on the ledge, the other dangled over the side. As she watched, a long gloved hand idly pushed a lock of hair back from his eyes. In that unguarded, unwatched moment, he looked almost pleasant, she thought with some surprise. As she watched, he leaned forwards, staring intently at something below. With a soundless oath, he pushed back from the window and ran back down the passage towards her. She jumped back into the shadows before remembering this was only a dream, and he couldn't possibly see her. His face now held a black look she was glad wasn't directed at her. Curiosity drawing her, she followed. The throne room was awash with blood. Goblin blood.

Infatuation by Willa Suvia ()
Three years after the fact, Jareth and Sarah are tormented by dreams of one another which interrupt not only their lives, but also the well-being of the Underground and its creatures. Fortunately, help comes from an unexpected place.
"Then the tower began to crumble, and I knew I couldn't stop. I just felt like if I did, it would be gone before I got here. I hoped...I mean, I thought maybe you were trying to tell me something." "Oh?" he asked, amused. "And what might I possibly have to say to you?" Sarah blanched, and her lips moved the tiniest bit. He leaned in to hear her better, still smiling that petulant grin. "I thought," she dared, "maybe your world was falling down, and you needed me to be here."

She is an angel. She saved my life, even after all I've done to her. Why Sarah? I don't even deserve you. As If from somewhere deep in the recesses of his subconscious, her lilting voice came floating back to taunt him, "...that's what you do when you love someone, Jareth, you make sacrifices." One by Corrie McDermott (Cormak's Jareth & Sarah Page)
Sarah's life has been filled with heartbreak and disappointment. A gift from a friend brings her back to a place she thought that she would never see again. To confront a man she doesn't quite know what to make of or what to feel for after so many years.
“This is all a bit much for you isn’t it?” She nodded. “That’s an understatement. Tonight I was deceived and attacked by Dartaynian and barely escaped. I learned about the curse that was placed on you. I learned that I could destroy you. I learned of your feelings for me…” ‘I realized that I love you and I can never tell you…I can never be with you.’

Please Come Home by Ying-Fa-dono (FanFiction.Net Profile)
Sarah is being pressured to grow up and forget about her time in the Labyrinth. Sadly, that proves hard when the Labyrinth is turned into a stage play, and Sarah's the star. Also, something wicked is going on in the Underground. What is wrong with Jareth?
It wasn't that she wanted to forget, but it was that she needed to forget. Wendy had to give up Neverland, Sarah thought to herself, sadly. And Alice had to give up Wonderland. I guess I had to give up the labyrinth.

Power Struggle by bobmcbobbob1 (FanFiction.Net Profile)
Being forced into it was not something Jareth or Sarah had in mind, and, since both are notoriously stubborn, naturally there is some resentment there. They will war for some edge until a compromise is reached or a bus barrels after Sarah.
The things you do, Sarah. You fumble around this entire world with only the scantest idea of what's happening. You don't often get it right, but sometimes I think you know more than the rest of us.

Return to the Labyrinth by ArtemisFallen (FanFiction.Net Profile)
Thirteen years after the events of the Labyrinth, Sarah has all but forgotten her adventures and the terrifying, yet handsome Goblin King. Until she finds the book that started it all. Drawn to the Labyrinth and the promise of a love that never was, Sarah ventures back, but it is not the world she knew. Plunged into chaos, Sarah must save the Goblin King before it is too late.
"You see, we tend to forget our dreams, even the ones we create for ourselves." Sarah's voice broke and she fought vainly against the tears which once again rose up to her tired eyes, blurring her vision. "All these years, I have yearned for a love that would rival those of the story books. I have fought so hard for it…" Sarah trailed off, squeezing the pendant tightly in her hand. She forced herself to stand, turning her tear burned face to Jareth. She scoffed lightly. "It would seem irony is not without a sense of humor. I've been searching endlessly for such a love and all this time it lay scorned and brokenhearted here."

Sanctuary by Jack Hawksmoor ( Profile)
Something is hunting Sarah and Jareth, and they need to stick together if they want to survive.
The pounding stopped. Sarah saw Jareth slump a little in relief. They sat for a moment in sweet silence, each absorbing the fact that they were not, after all, going to die in the next few minutes. Sarah leaned back on her hand. Jareth sat on the floor, and when he lifted his eyes she couldn't help but notice he looked rather bemused to find himself still alive. "Hello again," Sarah said with a faint smile, deciding she was game. "Can I get you some tea?" Sarah's umbrella was on fire, and she smacked it on the floor a few times to smother it.

Second Chances by Stormlight (Stormlight's Realm)
Twelve years after a certain "dream" she experienced, Sarah is finally the actress she always wanted to be. Unfortunately, it isn't the life she'd dreamed of. After a serious illness takes its toll on her, she takes a much-needed vacation, in the hopes that she might be able to keep what was left of her crumbling family together. So she arranges an extended visit with her Great Aunt Pixie, never suspecting that Pixie has another surprise visitor, as well.
"What this illusion was to me was my way to tell you that I loved you," he murmured, "in the only way I knew how. It was the best memory we had, of us dancing together, for the moment more than enemies, more than friends. I thought perhaps it might bring back those feelings you had for me, but I see now that I was wrong. I'm sorry for the pain I've caused you. Perhaps I merely fooled myself into believing in a dream that can never come to pass."

He offered the crystal to her, balancing it on his fingertips. She could take it, go home and leave all of this behind her. She could go home and forget all that had happened here. She stepped forward reaching for it, but she stopped when she saw the look in his eyes. It was there only for a second but she saw it clearly and nearly cried. In that one glance she saw the truth. He truly loved her and she was breaking his heart.

The Enticement by Scattered Logic (Fanfiction.Net Profile)
In exchange for returning to the Labyrinth, Sarah is offered what she desires most... She's about to learn there is a huge difference between fantasy and reality.
"You have thirteen hours in which to solve the labyrinth before your baby brother becomes one of us forever," Sarah recited, unconsciously mimicking his accent. Jareth rolled his eyes. "And you solved it. You reached your brother when you took that final leap." "And so the rest of it, all that stuff at the end, that "Fear me, love me, do as I say," was...what? Your attempt at proposing to me?" Sarah was incredulous. "As I said," Jareth gritted out, "you were far too immature to realize what was being offered." "Well, you weren't very clear," Sarah snapped. "I can understand why you've got a maze fixing you up with women. You obviously don't know how to go about it."

The Lady and the Knight by Jack Hawksmoor ( Profile)
Sarah's made a great life for herself, but Jareth has a problem. Will Sarah help him? What will it cost her if she does?
He could not have plucked a better thing to say to her from the gates of heaven. It was only everything she'd wanted to hear, for as long as she'd been listening and hoping to find someone who could understand her. "Jareth-" she managed, her voice thick with a lot of years of only ever hearing the wrong thing from people who claimed to love her, but would never understand how to make her happy. He pushed himself up and stole a kiss from her, brief and burning with emotions that neither of them had any time right then to express properly.

The Price of Dreams by KnifeEdge (Fanfiction.Net Profile)
Dangerous thing to get what you wish for. More dangerous still to crave it after, to miss that magic, to grab hold of it with both hands and refuse to let go. I never even tried. Foolish, I know.
How to describe a kiss? Might as well describe the ocean, or the ever changing gowns of the moon. Can you see a wind? Can you taste an emotion? Can you hear a painting? No mere meeting of the mouths, this. No soft brushes or dancing tongues. This is the rain at the end of a long, long drought. This is the last piece of the jigsaw, the final turn of the stair at the top of a lighthouse. His mouth is sin incarnate and it craves mine with an intensity that is nearly staggering. We come together like magnets, dance around one another like moths at a light. We are fire and water and steel and velvet. This is not a kiss, it’s creation, and with it, I understand infinity.

He looked into her eyes. Her eyes, oh, her eyes had stayed with him, had haunted him in all his dreams. He lost and found himself again in her hedgerow eyes and spoke, "Sarah." He said her name as if he'd been waiting to speak it for centuries, unlike he had ever said it before and tears came to Sarah's eyes.

Tokens of Affection by Shinku (FanFiction.Net Profile)
One year later, Sarah takes a chance. A purple hyacinth - 'Please, forgive me.'
"Why would I honestly wish to hold on to you, where even your own family has faltered." She nodded. He smiled then, the gesture young and more knowing than she could completely understand. "Oh Sarah, where else would I keep my heart, but right beside me?"

What You Wish For by KnifeEdge (Fanfiction.Net Profile)
